FIP Treatment: The Importance of Early Detection, Diagnosis, and Treatment

We were so busy at work that we didn’t notice that Jenny’s belly had become very big.Due to symptoms that were not obvious in the early stage, fluid accumulated in the abdomen for at least ten days. In the early days, Jenny didn’t like to eat cat food and didn’t like to move. We just thought it was because of the hot weather, so she didn’t like to move or eat.

Until later, the cat started to urinate yellow. After searching on the Internet, I became more and more convinced that the cat had Feline Infectious Peritonitis(FIP). At that time, I still had a chance, but when I went to the hospital and was diagnosed with FIP, it was like a thunderbolt. (Cats are still very tolerant. I hope all parents can learn from me. The lesson is to observe the cat’s behavior. Once there is any abnormal behavior, it is best to take it for a checkup.

Early symptoms include ascites, yellow urine, poor appetite, mental state, and diarrhea. Follow-up examination revealed high inflammation, anemia, and white-to-white-cell ratio below 0.6.

We met the helper of FIP.health through the introduction of a friend. After two injections, the cat improved significantly. The urine ball became larger and lighter, the appetite and mental state improved significantly, the abdominal circumference also shrank, and the weight increased significantly. Almost a month later, I was taken to the hospital for a review. The three symptoms of ascites, anemia, and inflammation were gone, and the white-cell ratio had increased.

During the treatment period, try to strengthen the cat's nutrition. In the early stage, the cat's favorite foods can be used to increase appetite and maintain normal body functions. Feed more meat, chicken breasts, eggs, and fish to increase protein and enhance resistance. If your cat continues to have diarrhea, you can feed it some probiotics to treat it.

‼ ️‼ ️Note:

1. For GS injection, try to choose oil (oil has the best effect). It is best to keep it refrigerated to reduce pain during injection.

2. After the injection, try to apply hot compress to the cat and rub it more to enhance absorption, which can also reduce the pain appropriately.

3. The cat will probably be very scared of you later on. You can feed it more snacks or cat strips to appease it.

GS is very corrosive. It is best to carefully observe whether there is any leakage after the injection. If there is any leakage, it is best to wipe it clean. It is best not to hit this part of the neck, as it is easy for lumps to develop.

We will continue to share the cat’s condition in the future.
